Her Man Flint

Her Man Flint - Jerri Drennen What initially drew me to this book was the cover. It reminded me of Austin Powers and I love all those movies. Sure the plot was a little on the outlandish side, there was the womanizing agent, his spurned female partner and the uncle who had an answer for everything. But that is where the similarities end between my favorite spy comedy and this book.

Adriana Kent and Flint Morgan are undercover agents (and partners) for the Department of National Security. They also used to live together. That is until six months ago when Adriana found Flint in bed with the girlfriend of a known criminal, Ryan Hartford. They break up...bitter feeling ensue. Adriana is trying to personally move on while having to work with Flint, but can't seem to let go of him. Of course, not being able to let go means that practically every time they are together she has to throw in his face how he cheated on her (whether it's when she's rescuing him while being shot at by a band of evil henchman or rushing off to help prove his innocence in a murder).

As for Flint. He didn't know how he ended up in bed with Lindsey Warren, he can't remember anything from that night. But he knows it cost him Adriana and he wants her back. But just as he's ready to make the push to do that, Adriana finds him in another compromising position with Lindsey. While she comes to help prove his innocence, he starts questioning if he'll ever be able to win her back. But when she's kidnapped by his arch nemesis, Ryan Hartford, he's determine to get her back and make her his.

Flint saves the day and evil once again must turn and run with it's tail between it's legs. Flint gets his woman and a little something extra and this gives you a couple of hours of entertainment.
