This was a sweet story about second chances and moving past your fears.
Ellie Parker finds herself running back home to New York City after she discovers her boyfriend isn't who he lead her to believe he is. Practically as soon as she's back in town, she runs into the one man who was always there for her but she didn't feel she was good enough for: Dex Remington. Dex hasn't wanted anyone but Ellie. He has his work cut out him as he tries to convince Ellie that with him is where she belongs.
I enjoyed both characters and the storyline. Both Dex and Ellie have loved each other forever, but they have a huge obstacle in front of them in the form of Ellie's inability to fully trust Dex. He may have been the person she ran to when they were children to feel safe, it's hard for her to let go of her fears. At times, it was almost as if Dex was a bit too much of a push over when it came to Ellie, but the way he treated Ellie worked for their relationship.
An easy, enjoyable read with characters that were easy to like and a well paced storyline. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for more from this author.
